Pay My Bill
We know medical bills can be confusing — especially when neurology care involves multiple visits, diagnostic studies, and follow-up procedures. This page walks you through paying your bill online, understanding the charges on your statement, recognizing billing scams, and getting help if you need it. If you have questions at any point, contact our billing team at (901) 747-1111 or billing@neuroclinic.org.

Patient Portal Link
If you have multiple statements, you can pay all of them in a single transaction by signing in to the patient portal. The portal also lets you turn on paperless billing, save a payment method, and view payment history.
Understanding Your Billing Statement
Your statement summarizes the neurology services you received, what your insurance has paid, and what you owe. Neurology billing can include separate line items for the office visit, any in-office procedures, the professional interpretation of a study, and the technical component of testing — so it’s normal to see multiple charges for a single appointment. Here’s a quick guide to the key sections.
Key Terms
Account Number
A unique number used to look up your account. Always have this ready when you call or pay online.
Date of Service
The date you received care.
Provider / Department
The clinician or department that provided the service.
Charges
The total cost of services before any insurance adjustment.
Insurance Adjustments
Discounts negotiated between us and your insurance plan. You don’t owe these amounts.
Insurance Payments
What your insurance has already paid toward your services.
Patient Responsibility
The amount you owe after insurance — typically your copay, coinsurance, and deductible.
Balance Due
The remaining amount you need to pay by the due date listed on the statement.
Statement Date
The date the statement was generated. New charges or payments after this date won’t appear yet.
Why Your Bill May Differ from Your Insurance’s Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Your EOB is not a bill — it’s your insurance plan’s summary of how a claim was processed. Your statement from us reflects what you owe after insurance has finished processing the claim. The two should match, but it’s normal for the EOB to arrive a week or two before your statement.
Common questions
Why am I being billed for a service I thought was covered?
Even with insurance, you may still owe a copay, coinsurance, or deductible. Certain neurology services — such as Botox for migraine, EMG/nerve conduction studies, ambulatory EEG, and infusions — often require prior authorization. If authorization wasn’t in place at the time of service, or if the procedure wasn’t deemed medically necessary by your plan, your share may be larger than expected. If a charge looks wrong, call our billing team before paying so we can review it with you.
I paid at the visit. Why am I getting another bill?
The amount collected at the visit was an estimate. Once your insurance finishes processing the claim — which can take several weeks for studies like EEG or EMG that are read by a physician after the appointment — you may owe additional amounts or be due a refund.
Why is there a separate charge for the doctor reading my EEG/EMG?
Diagnostic studies are commonly billed in two parts: a technical component (for performing the test) and a professional component (for the neurologist’s interpretation). You may see these as separate line items even though they relate to the same study.
I have more than one statement. Which one is current?
Use the most recent statement date. Older balances are rolled forward into newer statements, so paying the most recent one covers everything owed.
Avoiding Billing Scams and False Information
Scammers sometimes impersonate medical billing departments to steal money or personal information. Knowing what to look for can protect you and your family.
Warning signs of a scam
- Urgent or threatening language demanding immediate payment.
- Requests for payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, wire transfer, or apps like Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle.
- A caller who already knows partial personal details and pressures you to “verify” the rest.
- Emails or texts with links to “pay your bill” from a domain you don’t recognize.
- Charges for services or visits you never received, or for a family member who hasn’t been a patient.
How We Will and Won’t Contact You
We will send billing statements from Neurology Clinic, PC via email reminders from no-reply@eclinicalmail.com, text messages, and to your physical mailing address.
We will never ask for payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, peer-to-peer payment apps, or wire transfer. We will never threaten arrest, legal action, or service termination over the phone to pressure you into paying immediately.
If You Suspect a Scam
- Don’t click links or call numbers from suspicious messages. Hang up if a caller is pressuring you.
- Call us directly at (901) 747-1111 using the number printed on your statement or shown on our official website.
- Report the contact to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- If your insurance card or Social Security number may have been exposed, place a free fraud alert with the three major credit bureaus.
Financial Assistance
If paying your bill would create a hardship for you or your family, Neurology Clinic, PC offers financial assistance that extends the amount of time to pay what you owe. You don’t need to be uninsured to qualify — many patients with insurance qualify based on income, household size, or out-of-pocket medical expenses, which can be especially high for patients managing chronic neurologic conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, migraine, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, or stroke recovery.
How Do I Set Up a Payment Plan?
If you can’t pay your neurology bill in full, an interest-free payment plan with Neurology Clinic, PC lets you spread payments over time. This is especially helpful for larger balances from extended diagnostic work-ups, in-office procedures such as Botox or infusions, or ongoing care for chronic neurologic conditions. Most patients can set up a plan online in a few minutes.
Plan Basics
Interest
0% — there is no interest or fee for being on a payment plan.
Minimum payment
Typically $75 per month, or higher depending on your balance.
Plan length
Up to 12 months for most balances; longer terms may be available for larger balances or with financial assistance.
Auto-pay
Optional but recommended. Payments are charged automatically on the same date each month.
Changes
You can pay extra, pay off early, or adjust the plan at any time by contacting our billing team.
Set Up a Plan Online
- Go to neurologyclinic.org, click Documents and select Patient Payment Form.
- Complete required fields, add a payment method and enable auto-pay if you’d like.
- Review and confirm. You’ll get an email summary of the plan and a copy of the agreement.
Set up a plan by phone or in person
Call our billing team at (901) 747-1111 during business hours or stop by the clinic. A representative will help you choose a plan that fits your budget and walk you through next steps.
What If I Miss a Payment?
If a payment is missed, we’ll send a reminder and try the auto-pay charge again on the next business day. If two payments are missed, the plan may be paused and the full balance may become due. Reaching out before a missed payment is always better — we can usually adjust the plan rather than cancel it.
